Fire Marshal
The content of this course is aimed at staff who are designated Fire Wardens or who have responsibilities to ensure that employers are complying with the “Fire Precautions Act 1971” and enforce the requirements of company safety polices and procedures.
Course Objectives
On successfully completing this course the candidate will be able to demonstrate and understand:
- Carrying out fire drills
- Testing fire alarm systems
- Checking extinguishers
- Checking that fire doors are working properly
- The behaviour of fire and smoke
- What to do when discovering a fire
- How to use extinguishers
- The role of a fire warden
- Fire Legislation
- A major incident at work
- The behaviour of fire
- Checking extinguishers, hoses and sprinkler systems
